Hello lovlies, I apologize for my absence but I have been completely consumed by wedding preparations. Only 11 more days until I am a married women!
While furiously avoiding becoming a bridezilla, I had a small vacation to Columbus Georgia to witness my Aunt get married, a.k.a., my mom's best friend from college. Between decorating and dinner the girls and I, by girls I mean the bridesmaids including my mom, went and got manicures. It was a delightful surprise - we almost didn't go. I think the last time I actually went to a salon and had someone paint my nails was for my high school graduation. That was MANY years ago.
I just got my fingernails done, I have never had a pedicure. For my color selection, I choose a light pink to go with my pink dress I brought for the wedding. The only pink the salon owned was OPI Isn't that Precious. I completely fell in love with this color that I have decided I am going to wear it for my wedding! It is the perfect combination of pale and cloudy pink without looking too sheer, which is what Mademoiselle from Essie turned out to be.
On a side note, I will say that I was not impressed with the manicurist's nail painting skills despite her eight years of experience.
Overall, the trip was a delightful escape from my own wedding planning. I also had a blast with my mom as we road tripped 11 hours each way. Wedding are simply great times with great people.
