handicapped with ice cream

so last monday i sprained my lower back. thanks to the miracles of insurance i went to the doctor and got a piece of paper allowing me to purchase strong pain medicine. thinking i would feel brand new by taking these magic pills i gulped down two every few hours for three days.

instead, i was drowsy and sleepy for three straight days. because of my injury i could not bend over or walk right, in addition, a side effect of strong pain medicine are headaches and as a result i got nothing done around the house. my husband assured me that this was perfectly fine and i should enjoy it.

now, almost fully recovered, here are 3 things that i know for sure from this week:

1. i did not enjoy sleeping an obscene amount and neglecting my housework. namely because of the lazy feeling i got when 8pm came around and the only thing i had done was feed my cat. plus the fact that attempting to clean left me reeling in pain which resulted in another 2 hour nap.

2. i did enjoy sharing a pint of cookies and cream ice cream with my husband and best friend while watching re runs of Dexter.

3. when things don't go as planned it's best to "roll with it," as my husband would say, because in the end you can't really change your circumstances just your attitude.

experimenting with make up, inspired by make up

this is the make up i wear everyday. variations include what eyeshadow i want to feature.
*Elf Eye Shadow Smoky Eyes Palette
*Elf Blush Pink Passion
*Maybelline Big Lash Mascara
*Rimmel London Lip Liner Eastend Snob
*Clinique Pressed Powder Neutral Fair

i didn't realize how many eyeshadow palettes i had until i started cleaning out my make up basket! my favorie is the Revlon Sunrise, Sunset; at the front bottom.

i am in love with Clinique power and foundation. goes on very smooth for a soft, refined finish.

actually never owned this many blushes, but i like experimenting with my cheeks.

this is my most favorite DIY in my apartment; my brush holder. i simply found a cute pink glass vase at Goodwill, poured in some sand, and stuck in my brushes.
ta-da! i am organized!

i have been watching the tutorials of this lovely blogger and have expanded my make up collection. now, i look forward to what i will try next in the morning.

as my college roommate would tell me as we were applying make up before class, "it's like an art project every morning!"
