dreaming of Spring

today it's raining and i am dreaming of Spring. makes me think of the coming change of seasons and all the exciting things that Spring has to offer. these pink hunters are on my wish list, as well as this adorable bag from ModCloth (i am falling in love with that place). i can't wait to sip cool cocktails and smell pretty tulips and all the other delicious things that come with Spring.
for now, i am staying inside and getting things down around the apartment.
it's a lounging kinda tuesday.

my recipe book

this week i have been working on assembling my recipe book. these are a few pictures of what i have made so far. before i had a folder with loose magazine pages of recipes that i wanted to try out. i needed to find a way to keep them organized. so i simply cut the ones i wanted and taped them to the pages of my recipe book!

it was a nice little project that i will continue to add to over the years.

leaving on a jet plane

my sister-in-law has always been a free spirit. she has also, always loved the Lord. so when she felt called to leave her home in Indiana and move indefinitely to Israel, she didn't hesitate. we all had our concerns when she was considering such a giant leap, but it wasn't until she was accepted into a University in Israel to study Arabic that we knew she had made her decision. she is in God's hands now and i pray for her safety and that her light would shine. 

we all love you dearly Mary.

forgotten sushi pictures and our date last night

whenever Jordan and i think about going out on dates we always agree on sushi. it's our catnip. our favorites include; her, the creamy philly roll and crab salad, and him, the spicy salmon roll and ahi tuna. not to mention the hot sake and steamy miso. i think it's safe to say we are in love with sushi.

this date was ironically not our Valentine's Day date. we went to Macaroni Grill last night and i had the best stuffed peppers of my life. no joke. we split an entree, because we are classy like that, and sipped yummy beverages. i am definitely going back because there was so much on the menu that i wanted to try. future date destination for sure, (not because we don't love you sushi, but those stuffed peppers blew my mind).

on the way home Jordan and i joked about how were should become secret shoppers and get paid to eat because we love it so much. we had a sweet and simple Valentine's Day.

life lately according to my iphone

:: a sushi date with Jordan (can you tell we love sushi?) it was a gift he gave me for Christmas, to take my out for sushi and talk about out goals this year. it was a great time together.
:: a day trip to Lafayette, IN to visit friends
:: a quiet day around the apartment hanging out with Roy.
:: out with a friend in downtown Indy. i really love my city.
:: getting inspired around here
:: i think it's time to cut my hair, no? it's crazy long and getting harder to control. we'll see.
